Fotini Nichols

Fotini Nichols (Fifi) is the choir director at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Baltimore, MD. Prior to her appointment, she was the long-time organist there under the direction of Georgia Tangires. Fifi has also been the organist and choir director at St. Nicholas in Baltimore. She was a scholarship student and graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, after which she taught music in Baltimore County for three years and then thirty-four years in Prince George's County, where she received her Masters Equivalency in education. She was honored as Outstanding Educator by the American Legion, the Delegates of Prince Georges County and the Delegates of the State of Maryland.
Fifi was presented in 1998 with the Patriarch Athenagoras I Medallion by the National Forum of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians for Distinguished Service. She has been a presenter at various educational and religious conferences and has composed both sacred and secular music.
She is currently a member of American Guild of Organists, Maryland music educators, National Educators Association, board member of Philoptohos,
and a member of the Daughters of Penelope. On ten separate occasions, she has been the guest organist for our federation conferences as well as guest conductor for our conference in 2016 and the opening ceremonies of the Archdiocese Clergy Laity Congress. For many years, Fifi has proudly served as a volunteer at the White House in Washington, DC.
